dumpster faq
Q: What cannot go in the dumpster?
A: Tires, hazardous waste, and liquids. Please contact us about any other questionable items.
Q: How high can I fill the dumpster?
A: Do not fill over the top rim of the dumpster. It’s dangerous to be on the roads with dumpsters that are overfull. This will cause debris to fall into the road towards oncoming traffic. Heavy fines are associated with this.
Do’s and Don’ts
Q: How can I prevent fires?
A: Do not put hot ashes or other hot materials into the dumpster.
Q: How can I prevent unnecessary weight overages?
A: Place a tarp over your dumpster if it’s going to rain, especially if it’s filled with items that absorb water. This includes mattresses and carpets. Also avoid putting dirt, concrete, stone, and rocks into the dumpster. Clean fill dumpsters are available upon request.
Dumpster Sizes and More!
Q: When do I pay?
A: Upon delivery of the dumpster, your credit card can be charged or cash and/or check picked up by the driver. Any weight overages are due immediately upon invoicing.
Q: What size do I need?
A: The size of the dumpster depends on the size of the job. One-room cleanouts usually require a 10-yard dumpster, while larger homes and renovation projects use larger dumpsters for completion.
Q: How can I protect my driveway/lawn from dumpster damage?
A: Please let us know your placement concerns ahead of time. If wood planks are provided, we would be happy to place the dumpster on the wooden planks to prevent damage to blacktop, your lawn, etc.
